Deutzia Rosea Details

Deutzia gracilis Rosea is grown for its profuse flowering. It produces masses of showy, pink-white flowers in summer which literally transform the plant into a spectre of beauty. These are held amongst the gently arching stems which support the deep green foliage. As autumn progresses the leaves turn yellow before falling. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, growing best in a sunny position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is hardy to frost and cool climates but does require good levels of soil moisture during dry periods. Deutzia gracilis Rosea is well suited for lighting up a bland corner of the garden, adding to a mixed planting, using as a backdrop for smaller plants, including in cottage gardens, or being grown in a large pot.
