Cytisus Raspberry Ripple is a deciduous shrub grown for its pretty flowers and upright stems. Masses of raspberry-red, pea like flowers are borne through spring and summer, and transform the plant into a visual splendour. It has slender, green stems which carry small, green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 1.8 m tall and 1.5 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, though it is tolerant of coastal conditions, frost, cool climates, wind, and dry periods.
