Corokia ‘Tutti Frutti’ is a hardy, NZ native shrub grown for its lovely foliage and interesting form. It grows as a mass of wiry, tangled, silver-grey branches carrying small, multi-coloured foliage. The leaves are a mix of yellow, brown, and red. Small, star like, yellow flowers which are mildly fragrant are produced in summer. These are followed by small red-orange berries which are great for attracting birds. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Corokia ‘Tutti Frutti’ grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This hardy plant and can tolerate strong winds, frost, coastal conditions, and dry soils once established. It is commonly used as low to medium sized hedge but also makes a great addition to mixed plantings, or for planting on those difficult to grow sites.
