Corokia 'Silver Ghost'

How to grow Corokia 'Silver Ghost' in NZ

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' grows best in full sun or partial shade with fertile free draining soil. Improve the planting area with compost before planting to encourage healthy root development. Water regularly while the plant establishes, then only during extended dry periods. It tolerates wind, coastal conditions, and light frost once established, making it suitable for many New Zealand gardens.

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' care tips

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' is a low maintenance shrub that requires little attention once established. Feed during spring with a quality slow release fertiliser to promote healthy new growth. Trim lightly after periods of active growth to maintain a dense tidy shape if required. Apply mulch around the base to retain moisture and reduce weed competition while keeping it away from the stems.

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' size, spacing, and growth rate

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' typically grows to about one point five metres tall and one metre wide with a naturally upright habit. Space plants about one metre apart for hedging or one and a half metres apart when growing as individual specimens. Landscaping uses for Corokia 'Silver Ghost'

Corokia 'Silver Ghost' is ideal for contemporary gardens, coastal landscapes, mixed shrub borders, and low hedges.
