Corokia ‘North Cape’ is a low growing and “twiggy”, NZ native shrub that has small, grey-green leaves. In summer, it is covered in masses of small, yellow flowers which are followed by red berries that attract birds. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 80 cm wide and can be trimmed as necessary. This Corokia is very tolerant of dry and exposed conditions, including salt winds but intolerant of wet soils. It will, however, grow best in a full sun position on a well-drained site. Corokia ‘North Cape’ is commonly included in a mixed planting, mass planted on a bank, or used as a groundcover.
