Corokia 'Baby Prince'

Corokia 'Baby Prince' is a hardy NZ native shrub grown for its lovely foliage and interesting form. It grows as a mass of wiry, tangled branches carrying small, purple-grey leaves. Small, star-like, yellow flowers, which are mildly fragrant, are produced in summer as it grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Corokia 'Baby Prince' is commonly used as a low to medium hedge but is also great for including in mixed plantings, or growing on those difficult to establish areas.

How to grow a Corokia 'Baby Prince' hedge

Corokia 'Baby Prince' makes for a fabulous hedge, and it all begins with getting the correct plant spacing. To achieve a dense hedge quickly, the plants should be spaced 45 cm apart. If you space them wider, the hedge will take longer to fill in and become wider overall. The best Corokia 'Baby Prince' hedges are lightly trimmed during spring and again in autumn.
