Cornus kousa Pendula is a deciduous shrub grown for its impressive flowering and attractive form. Large and showy, white flowers adorn the tree through spring and summer. These are followed by red berries in autumn which are great for attracting birds. It grows with an upright and rounded habit, bearing pendulous branches, with dark green foliage. As autumn progresses the leaves develop colourful shades of red before falling. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 2.5 m wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and tolerates frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry.
