Cordyline australis Choc Mint is a variety of Cabbage Tree grown for its striking foliage and great form. The strap-like leaves are variegated mint-green and chocolate-brown. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, dry periods, moderate wind, and cool climates, though will benefit from being protected while it establishes. Cordyline Choc Mint makes a lovely specimen and is commonly planted in clusters, added to tropical gardens, included in mixed plantings, used to line a driveway or entrance, planted to soften a bland wall, or maintained in a container.
