Coprosma Clearwater Gold Details

Coprosma rugosa Clearwater Gold is a colourful, NZ native that grows as a sprawling shrub. Its prominent feature are the slim, golden stems with a brown undertone which intertwine to give the shrub a tangled appearance. Interspersed among the stems are small, pale gold-coloured leaves. It will typically grow to 1.5 m tall and the same wide as a somewhat tidy bush but can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, and is hardy to dry periods, frost, cool climates, and coastal environments. Coprosma Clearwater Gold is commonly used in coastal or alpine gardens, maintained in a container, added to mixed plantings, or grown as an informal hedge. Landscape designers often use this Coprosma to provide both texture and interest.
