Coprosma Matai Magic

Coprosma Matai Magic features lush and glossy, dark coloured foliage. New foliage is dark brown and ages to become variegated brown and dark green. This evergreen grows with an upright and compact habit to about 1.2 m tall and 80 cm wide. Coprosma Matai Magic is commonly included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and barbecue areas, or used anywhere an attractive, hardy, and low maintenance shrub is required.

Coprosma Matai Magic makes a fine addition to a garden and it is important to get the plant spacing right. Generally, they are planted to become discrete balls rather than merging. The ideal spacing is 2 m apart if you want them to be discrete. At a 1 m spacing the plants will merge and become an effective ground cover.
