Coprosma Beatsons Brown is a NZ native shrub that features rich, chocolate coloured foliage. The tiny, glossy leaves sparkle in the sun and are held on sturdy, upright branches. It typically grows to 1.5 m high and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance and leaf colouring is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, dry periods, and coastal environments. This Coprosma is an excellent landscaping plant due to its colour and versatility. Coprosma Beatsons Brown is commonly clipped into a hedge, included in mixed plantings, maintained in a container, planted around pool and barbecue areas, or planted to soften a bland wall. Space plants 75 cm apart for hedging.
