Choisya Gold Finger is an evergreen shrub grown for its attractive foliage and pleasant flowers. It produces glossy, yellow leaves which eventually age to a dark green and release a mild fragrance when crushed. The foliage serves as a colourful backdrop to the clusters of fragrant, white flowers produced in spring and autumn. This variety grows compactly with a rounded habit to about 1.2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of dry periods and moderate frost once established. Choisya Gold Finger is a popular and low maintenance plant that is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, planted around outdoor living areas, grown as an informal hedge, or used to brighten up a bland area. This Mexican Orange Blossom also makes for a lovely accent to entranceways.
