Cedrela “Flamingo” is a highly colourful, deciduous tree featuring bright, salmon-pink foliage in spring which ages to cream-yellow, and then green in summer. It grows with a tight growth habit to about 6 m tall and with a spread of just 2 m. Fragrant, white flowers in summer are borne in dense, drooping clusters and are great for attracting bees and butterflies. Best results with this tree are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates, frost, humidity, and short periods of dry. “Flamingo” is commonly included in mixed plantings, grown as a specimen, or used as a showy backdrop to smaller shrubs.
