Ceanothus Blue Pacific is a popular, evergreen shrub owing to its intense flowering and lovely form. It becomes smothered in showy clusters of blue flowers in spring which are complemented with small, glossy, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 2 m wide, and is usually trimmed after flowering to help keep the foliage dense. It prefers to grow in a sunny, well-drained, and sheltered position though it is tolerant of some wind, coastal conditions, frost once established, and cool climates. Ceanothus Blue Pacific is a great plant for including in mixed plantings, using in cottage gardens, or planting as a backdrop for smaller plants.
