Caryopteris Summer Sorbet is an attractive, deciduous shrub that produces masses of pale blue flowers from summer through autumn. Such is the flowering that it is said to resemble clouds of blue smoke. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies and are held amidst the green and gold variegated foliage. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and the same wide. Caryopteris Summer Sorbet is commonly used in mixed plantings, border plantings, or grown as a low hedge in warmer climates. It is also ideal for container growing and is commonly included in cottage gardens.

Caryopteris Summer Sorbet Details

Caryopteris Summer Sorbet is an attractive, deciduous shrub that produces masses of pale blue flowers from summer through autumn. Such is the flowering that it is said to resemble clouds of blue smoke. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies and are held amidst the green and gold variegated foliage. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and the same wide, performing best in a full sun position on a well-drained site. It will tolerate dry conditions once established and in cooler climates it may die back during winter with new shoots emerging in spring. Caryopteris Summer Sorbet is commonly used in mixed plantings, border plantings, or grown as a low hedge in warmer climates. It is also ideal for container growing and is commonly included in cottage gardens. The stems are often used in flower arrangements.
