Carmichaelia muritai

Cliffords Bay Broom

Carmichaelia muritai, commonly known as Cliffords Bay Broom, is a leafless, upright shrub with dense, bronze stems. In summer, the stems bear masses of violet-white which literally transform the plant as it grows to 4 m tall and 2 m wide. Carmichaelia muritai is commonly used in coastal gardens and anywhere a hardy plant is required. A mass planting on a bank or against a wall or fence gives a lovely display.
