Magic Flower, Sacred Flower Of The Incas
Commonly known as The Sacred Flower of the Incas, Cantua buxifolia “bicolor†is an erect and dense shrub grown for its impressive and colourful flowers. Through spring it bears masses of tubular, crimson and yellow flowers held in clusters. These are borne on long arching stems which are lined with oval, toothed green leaves. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site protected from frost. This shrub is commonly added to mixed plantings or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
