The Wirlinga Princess Camellia is an evergreen shrub that produces masses of white flowers with a pink blush. These appear from winter through spring and contrast nicely with the glossy, dark green foliage. It is a relatively compact plant and typically reaches 1.8 m tall and 80 cm wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. The Wirlinga Princess Camellia is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
