Camellia 'Sweet Jane'

How to grow Camellia 'Sweet Jane' in NZ

Camellia 'Sweet Jane' grows best in part shade with protection from strong winds and harsh afternoon sun. Plant in well drained, slightly acidic soil enriched with organic matter for best results. Mulching helps retain moisture and maintain cool root conditions.

Camellia 'Sweet Jane' care tips

Camellia 'Sweet Jane' is easy to care for with simple maintenance. Water during dry periods, especially in summer, and apply a camellia fertiliser in spring and early summer. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape and encourages dense growth. Remove spent blooms if desired. Ensure good airflow and avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of disease and keep foliage healthy.
