Our Melissa Camellia

The Our Melissa Camellia is an evergreen shrub that produces masses of small and pink, ruffled flowers. These appear in winter through spring and are borne on gently cascading branches. The foliage is dainty and light olive green in colour. It is relatively compact plant with an upright growth habit and typically reaches 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Best performance is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. The Our Melissa Camellia is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, used as a filler or backdrop for smaller plants, included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained as a patio plant in a container.
