Camellia japonica Elegans Splendor is an evergreen shrub that produces large and showy, double, soft pink blooms from winter through spring. These are highlighted magnificently with the glossy, dark green foliage. It grows relatively compactly with an upright habit and typically reaches 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established.
