Camella japonica Golden Anniversary is grown for its exquisite, double, cream-coloured flowers through winter and spring. The showy blooms are complemented beautifully with glossy, dark green foliage. This evergreen shrub grows relatively compactly with an upright habit to about 1.5 m tall and the 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic, and is tolerant of frost once established as well as cool, and humid climates.
