“Blizzard” is a variety of Camellia that produces masses of semi-double , white flowers in spring and autumn. They are mildly fragrant and produced amidst the small, green leaves, which affords a lovely contrast. This evergreen typically grows to 4 m tall and 2.5 m wide, and can be contained with trimming. Best results with this shrub are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of cool and humid climates as well as moderate frost once established. “Blizzard” is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage and “white” gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
