Calliandra Blushing Pixie, commonly known as the Powder Puff Bush, is a shrub grown for its interesting flowers and lush foliage. It produces masses of pink-red, pom-pom like flowers during autumn and winter, and results in red berries. The foliage on this evergreen emerges bright green, ages to dark green, and is held densely as it grows with a somewhat rounded habit to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Calliandra Blushing Pixie is commonly grown as a specimen, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, added to a mixed planting, or planted as a backdrop for smaller plants.
