Buxus sinica ‘Tide Hill’ is a popular American variety of Box Hedge and forms a beautiful mound of glossy foliage. New foliage is a fresh, lime green and ages to become dark green. The leaves are held densely on short stems as it grows to 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide. This Boxwood performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except at the extremes of wet and dry, moderate frost, cool climates, and coastal conditions. Buxus ‘Tide Hill’ is commonly trimmed into a small hedge, planted around the base of trees, added to a mixed planting, or mass planted to provide a soft, carpet like appearance.
