Buxus sempervirens ‘Supergreen’ is one of the more popular Boxwood varieties. It grows with an upright shape and features rounded, light green leaves that darken with age. This Boxwood typically grows to 1 m tall and 60 cm wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It does well on most soil types, except at the extremes of wet and dry, and will tolerate frost and cool climates. Buxus ‘Supergreen’ is ideal for topiary, trimming into a formal hedge, maintaining in a container, or including in a mixed planting. Space the plants 30 cm apart for a box hedge.
