Swan River Pea

Commonly known as the Swan River Pea, this is an evergreen shrub with olive-green foliage. The attractive foliage is complemented by deep red, pea-shaped flowers in late winter and early spring which are great for attracting birds. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 3 m wide, preferring a sunny and well-drained site protected from heavy frost. This shrub is commonly used as an informal hedge, included in mixed plantings, planted around the base of larger trees, or used as a stunning backdrop for smaller plants.
