This dense, fine leaved shrub produces attractive flower heads that look like groups of white and green balls from late winter through summer. The flower heads are attached by short red stems to the ends of branches. It carries narrow, softly textured leaves which are densely crowded on slender, branching stems. It grows to about 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This unusual, yet striking plant looks great in mixed plantings and the flower heads are often used by florists.
