It produces bright yellow flower spikes up to 30 cm long from winter through until summer which are great for attracting birds. The dark green leaves serve as a pleasant backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide. This Yellow Banksia is commonly included in mixed plantings, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted to attract birds, grown as an informal hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or used anywhere a hardy and attractive plant is required.
