It features masses of pretty, white flowers during spring and summer which are held on slender stems amidst the fine, green foliage. New foliage has a distinctive bronze tinge. This evergreen typically grows to 2-4 m tall and 2-3 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Baeckea virgata is commonly added to mixed plantings, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, or grown to attract birds.

Baeckea virgata (aka Babingtonia virgata and Sannantha virgata), and also commonly known as the Twiggy Heath Myrtle, is an elegant, Australian native shrub. It features masses of pretty, white flowers during spring and summer which are held on slender stems amidst the fine, green foliage. New foliage has a distinctive bronze tinge. This evergreen typically grows to 2-4 m tall and 2-3 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site and is tolerant of moderate frost, dry periods, and some wind. Baeckea virgata is commonly added to mixed plantings, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, or grown to attract birds.
