Azara microphylla variegata is an upright, evergreen shrub, with small variegated leaves. Everything about this shrub is elegant. Its dainty dark green polished leaves are delicately painted with broad, cream margins. In spring, tufted flowers are borne and produce a sweet, vanilla scent as it grows to 4 m tall and 2.5 m wide. Azara microphylla variegata is commonly grown for its sophisticated texture and pattern and looks exceptional when planted against a light-coloured wall. It is also commonly included in mixed plantings or as a backdrop for smaller plants.
