Azalea “Yellow Beauty” is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, deciduous shrub produces large, golden yellow blooms highlighted with orange and apricot tones through spring. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. “Yellow Beauty” is a great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed and border planting, planting around outdoor living areas, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. A mass planting produces an amazing display.
