Azalea Vuyk's Rosy Red Details

Azalea Vuyk’s Rosy Red is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of rose-pink flowers from late winter through spring. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods and should be protected from heavy frost while establishing. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Vuyk’s Rosy Red is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, using in cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
