Azalea Sherwood Red Details

Azalea Sherwood Red is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, single, scarlet red flowers through spring. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Sherwood Red is a great choice for container growing, planting around the base of trees and larger shrubs, including in a mixed planting, using in cottage gardens, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required.
