“Purple Glitters” is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of showy and lightly scented, dark pink flowers with purple dots from winter until late spring. It typically grows to 90 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost but should be protected while establishing. When fertilising avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. “Purple Glitters” is a great choice for growing in a container, adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, using in cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
