“Peaches and Cream” is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of showy, ruffled, pink flowers with a lighter edge and yellow throat through spring. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. “Peaches and Cream” is a great choice for container growing, planting around larger trees and shrubs, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. Cluster planting one cultivar with another cultivar is very trendy and gives a tremendous display.
