Azalea Kosmos is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of double, cerise pink blooms from winter until late spring. These are held abreast of the glossy, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods and should be protected from heavy frost while establishing. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Kosmos is a great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
