Azalea Eri Schame is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of showy, semi-double, coral pink flowers with white edges through spring. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. Azalea Eri Schame is a great choice for container growing, planting around larger trees and shrubs, including in cottage gardens, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required.
