Azalea Early Orange Details

Azalea Early Orange is a deciduous variety of Azalea which is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy shrub produces masses of showy, bright orange flowers during later winter and early spring just before the leaves emerge. The lush green foliage emerges as the flowers age. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but does require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Early Orange is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, including in cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
