Azalea Dorothy Gish Details

Azalea Dorothy Gish is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of single, red-pink flowers from late winter until mid-spring. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Dorothy Gish is a great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed or border planting, planting around outdoor living areas, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. A mass planting produces an amazing display.
