Azalea Autumn Royalty is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering in spring and autumn. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, pink flowers. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.2 m wide, growing best when planted in a full sun or semi-shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cool climates, but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Azalea Autumn Royalty is a great choice for adding to a mixed or border planting, planting around outdoor living areas such as pool and barbecue area, including in cottage gardens, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. Mass planting provides for an amazing display with this variety.
