“Autumn Princess” is an Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, pink-red blooms from spring until autumn. It typically grows to 75 cm tall and 1.2 m wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact with better flowering. Plants are tolerant of frost and cool climates but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. “Autumn Princess” is a great choice for adding to a mixed or border planting, planting around outdoor living areas such as pool and barbecue area, including in cottage gardens, or using anywhere a stunning plant is required. Mass planting provides for an amazing display with this variety.
