Azalea Autumn Embers is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, single, red flowers from spring through autumn. The flowers are complemented with lush and glossy, dark green leaves. It grows with a rounded shape to about 70 cm tall and the same wide, preferring a full sun or partial shade position that is well-drained, slightly acidic, semi-sheltered, and does not dry out. It is tolerant of moderate frost but intolerant of lime which can cause serious damage to plants and even death.
