“Apple Blossom” is an Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering from late winter through spring. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of mid-sized, single, white flowers with pink edges. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.2 m wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. “Apple Blossom” is a great choice for container growing, planting under trees and shrubs, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required. Cluster planting one cultivar with another cultivar is very trendy and gives a tremendous display.
