“Alba Magnifica” is an Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, fragrant, snow-white blooms from winter until late spring. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. “Alba Magnifica” is a great choice for container growing, planting under trees and shrubs, including in cottage and “white” gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
