Azalea 'Alaska' Details

Azalea indica ‘Alaska’ is grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of lightly scented, snow-white flowers from winter until late spring. It typically grows to about 80 cm tall and 1 m wide and performs best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. When grown in full sun it tends to be more compact. Plants are tolerant of frost and cold environments but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt plants. Azalea ‘Alaska’ is a great choice for container growing, planting under trees and shrubs, including in cottage gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.
