Aucuba Forest Green

Aucuba Forest Green, commonly known as the Green Aucuba, is a shrub that features large and lush, green leaves. The foliage is adorned with purple flowers in spring which are borne as loose clusters. These result in green berries which mature to become bright red during winter. This evergreen typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 1.2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. The Green Aucuba is a great plant for providing freshness to a garden and is often trimmed into a hedge or planted to provide winter interest. It is also commonly planted around outdoor living areas to provide shelter and privacy, and is well suited to being planted back of a shady garden where it will recede into the background.
