Adenanthos sericeus, commonly known as Woolly Bush, is a shrub grown for its interesting foliage. The needle-like foliage is held densely and is dark green. It produces small, red flowers in spring which attract birds and other wildlife. It grows with a conical shape to about 3 m tall and 2 m wide, though can be kept smaller with trimming. This evergreen grows best in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of coastal environments, moderate frost, and periods of dry. Adenanthos sericeus is commonly grown as a specimen, included in a mixed planting, used in Mediterranean gardens, or maintained in a container. It makes for a fantastic Christmas tree and the foliage is favoured by florists.
