Acacia Winter Flame is a shrub grown for its attractive foliage and fantastic form. It has soft, weeping, red-tipped foliage that ages to green. It grows a spreading mound to about 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is frost tolerant and will grow well in coastal environments though does benefit from having wind protection. Acacia Winter Flame is commonly maintained in a container, included in a border or mixed planting, or planted around outdoor living areas. It looks outstanding when mass planted and allowed to spill over walls, paths, and the like. This is a lovely plant that will provide year-round pleasure.
