Acacia myrtifolia, commonly known as the Myrtle Wattle tree, is a large shrub that is grown for its cream-white blooms that coat the plant during late winter and early spring. It has olive-green foliage and grows with an upright and spreading habit to about 1.5 m tall and 2.5 m wide. It can be contained with trimming as necessary. This is a hardy shrub that will grow on most soils provided they have good drainage. It should be positioned in full sun, and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and extended dry periods. Acacia myrtifolia is commonly added to a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, or included in coastal plantings.
